Why We Exist.
Bitz & Piecez owners have 33 years experience in DIY construction and property development. Bitz & Piecez was created to provide building materials at a more affordable price for our customers. We know that the biggest constraint on most building projects is the budget. How much will this cost? How much can I afford?
Many of the projects we have completed over the years were challenging due to the retail cost of the building materials. The high inflationary environment since 2021 has increased building material costs significantly.
Our goal is to provide excellent quality building materials at a price that is 20 - 30% below the pricing of commercial providers. This allows our customers to stretch their construction budgets a little bit further.
Bitz and Piecez proudly stand by the products we sell. We use them ourselves on our own projects and are happy to meet our obligations under the Fair Trading Act.
All our roofing sheets are manufactured from PPGI steel - 0.5mm gauge. This means that the sheets have two layers of protection.
1: Inner galvanised coating. The galvanised layer is applied to the raw steel coils and provides sacrificial protection against corrosion.
2: Outer paint system. A two coat baked polyester paint system then provides additional protection to the roofing sheets. This paint system not only provides great aesthetics but also provides for a double sided outer protective layer to compliment the inner galvanising.
If you need corrugated steel roofing - always specify PPGI standard sheets.
Fencing - Our PPGI sheets are unique in New Zealand in that we get both sides of the sheets painted. This is perfect for fences where compromising on colour (facing out or in) is often necessary.
In addition to holding good quantities in stock for our drive in customers, we are also able to offer supply contracts ongoing. This will suit customers with large orders to fill with sufficient time to allow for the manufacture / delivery of their custom order (approximately 42-50 days).
Pickup is by prior arrangement. We do encourage weekend and after hours pickups.
Deliveries are by arrangement, with a range of options to suit.
We can deliver to local areas; Te Kuiti, Otorohanga, Te Awamutu and Cambridge, Hamilton, Huntly, Ngaruawahia, Kawhia, and Raglan (delivery fees and minimum purchase quantities apply).
Outside of these areas we offer nationwide shipping options, and a customised shipping quote will be provided on request.
We offer a selection of choices for payment also; eftpos payments on delivery/pick up, cash on delivery/pickup, direct credit payment, internet banking on delivery / pickup or secure online credit card payment (2.9% fee applies).

I totally recommend this product and trader. I purchased about 50 sheets in lengths varying from 3m to 6m for projects around home. I have found it great to install and with the wide sheet width, it goes a long way. I am using it for re-roofing outbuildings, cladding sides of buildings and fencing. So far I have roofed a three bay carport and it looks great. It is somewhere around half the price of getting it locally. Cheers Jimmie.
