Another example of how stained timber and profiled iron sheets can complement each other in an exterior construction.
A slight overkill in design with the pump shed in the Bitz and Piecez yard. Features a merbau hardwood tongue and groove access door offsetting the corrugated iron walls/roof in RAL7021/Grey Friars.
When completing our shop/storage building in our yard, we had to finish off the southern end of the building which was an untidy clay surface.
To do so, we built a walkway with a Merbau hardwood deck and side combined with a fern garden box. This complemented the iron clad shed quite nicely.
Several years ago, the Bitz and Piecez team had to expand our yard in order to store our packets of steel sheets.
As can be imagined, steel sheets are very heavy and in order to support weights of up to 10 tonnes, we constructed a rack fence using No1 strainer posts topped with a timber/steel wind break.
Since then, the rack fence has carried hundreds of tons of steel - it is still going strong.
Pre-stained fence rails/posts & Five Rib iron sheets.
